Amy Tercek is a writer AND RESEARCHER

based in Washington, DC. She is a founding member of the Shaw Poetry Group, and a member of the Poetry Board at the Folger Shakespeare Library. Amy serves at Stepping Stones, the historic home of Bill and Lois Wilson, as a member of the Publications Committee. Studying for her Master of Social Work at Catholic University, Amy is active in the recovery community in metropolitan DC. Amy practices yoga, Transcendental Meditation, and is crazy about her bicycle.

Working on writings…

Amy is the author of a collection of poetry called The Next Right Word, that the poet Tom Lux called, “luminous and brilliant.” She also wrote Children of the Night, a handbook for Sponsors in 12 step programs. In conjunction with the editors of Spy Magazine, she was the picture editor for Separated at Birth, a New York Times trade bestseller. Amy is currently at work on a historical fiction novel about the creation of the personal growth movement in America.
